Kirby Morgan has done it again. The prestigious manufacturer of professional/commercial diving equipment adds a new product to its catalog, featuring the seal of quality and safety that all its products offer.
It is the new Full Face Mask MOD-1, specifically designed for those divers who require a lightweight and durable surface supplied mask.
It is constructed of materials such as titanium and specialty polymers to increase durability and eliminate corrosion. In addition, the threaded inserts in the jaw frame are used to securely fasten the pod to the mask.
As for the regulator, the pod incorporates a side block with two inlets which allows for surface supply. One for main gas, and the other for the EGS supply, a complete, modular communications system is neatly tucked in close and well protected, and terminates into a newly designed KMDSI 4 pin waterproof connector. The oral cavity has an extremely low volume that greatly reduces residual levels of CO2.
The communications are modular, with earphone elements routed to an externally mounted communication module which can be easily removed. The neoprene hood, at 7 mm, also includes earphone pockets and is easily removed for cleaning or drying.
This equipment is proven to exceed the stringent performance requirements as set forth by the United States Navy and the European Union’s CE requirements.
