This small and rugged handheld diver acoustic receiver with LCD display and signal strength meter can track and locate any acoustic pinger that operates between 5 to 80 kHz.
Very useful for use in harsh marine environments. Using digital signal processing, the DPR-275 can track and locate any underwater acoustic beacon operating between 5 and 80 kHz. It can be used for 8 hours continuously and the batteries are rechargeable.
A highly sensitive directional hydrophone allows the diver to detect an acoustic signal from a beacon at a maximum distance of 1200 m (source 37 kHz / 162.5 dB). The rotary knobs allow the operator to access the functions of the instrument even with thick gloves. When the instrument points in the direction of the acoustic beacon, the unit generates an audio tone in the headphones providing the feedback necessary for the relocation. To support audio, the signal strength meter provides additional response to the location of the beacon.
It includes headphones, battery charger and box.
