It allows for a faster approach by a rescue diver, the ability to donate gas to the distressed diver (if his umbilical has been compromised), and a faster return through buoyancy control of both rescuer and patient. Quick recovery of the patient in the hood thanks to the integrated lifting harness.

- Primary supply of flotation gas fed through a Swagelok quick fit "cross connect" hose from the side block of the hull.
- Secondary pneumo flotation gas supply.
