DSL B-2 ND Diving Helmet (Contaminated waters)
The DSL B-2 ND (Nuclear Demand) is a diving helmet equipped with a SCUBAPRO A700 regulator, designed with a unidirectional airflow system, intended for interventions in nuclear power plants, wastewater treatment plants, and other toxic or non-breathable environments. The helmet offers great comfort during use thanks to its removable weight system and ease of maintenance.
Description:
The air distribution block is mounted on the right side of the helmet, while the exhalation valve (head valve) is located on the left. The exhalation system incorporates two overpressure valves calibrated to 5 mbar, ensuring a constant positive pressure of 5 mbar inside the helmet.
This design ensures protection against any possible backflow of toxic gases or particles, maintaining the integrity of the respiratory system. The helmet can be attached to a diving suit or drysuit, although it is not designed for constant volume operation.
Technical data:
- Weight: 14.9 kg with removable ballast / 6.9 kg without ballast
- Dimensions: 360 mm (length) × 400 mm (width) × 360 mm (height)
- Breathing system: Demand regulator with unidirectional airflow
