Water Sampling System for Oceanography and Limnology
The Multi Water Sampler MWS 24 is an instrument designed for the collection of water samples in successive water layers. Only one operation for 24 different samples!
Together with the optional CT-Set the system offers the full capability of a state-of-the-art oceanographic CTD probe.
The sturdy stainless steel frame is equipped with 24 racks to which Plastic Water Samplers or Free Flow Samplers with a capacity of 1.7, 2.5, 5 or 10 litres can be mounted. The MWS 24 is equipped with a motor-driven release device and with an integrated pressure sensor (measuring range according to customers’ requirements). The water samplers are sequentially closed in the succession of their mounting to the array (i.e. No. 1, 2, 3, ..., 22, 23 and 24). The state-of-the-art electronics (Gen5), optimised in power consumption, is designed for ambient temperatures from - 40° C up to +85° C. The bottles are closed by a battery powered motor unit (3 x CR 123 A cells) or alternatively with our new rechargeable battery pack (LiFePO4) which provides more energy for extended applications. The MWS 24 can be used for both online and offline operations.
