‘Manta’ for Microplastics
Easy handling Net for surface Microplastic
ABOUT
The Microplastic Net ‘Manta’ has been designed for open but calm waters, rivers, lakes. The speciality of the Manta design is that it has ‘wings’ mounted to the sides that lift the frame up and care for stability. For transportationor storage these can easily be unscrewed. The net opening is 15 x 30 cm and has one special feature. There is a little pin inside to which a Mechanical Flow Meter can be mounted. The maximum speed is rated to 3 knots.
As a result this system does not require a minimum towing speed.
The anodised frame comes prepared to support one mechanical Flow Meter.
A sample of up to 2,700 ml is concentrated in a lightweight container of polyamide fabric connected to the net bag by HYDRO-BIOS’ own fixing ring system.
The standard mesh size for microplastics applications is 300 µm, available mesh sizes range from 5 µm to 1,000 µm.
