We installed a meteoceanographic station at Roquetas del Mar

At Casco Antiguo, our commitment to the exploration and understanding of the oceans is unwavering. We are proud to announce that on November 29 and 30, in collaboration with our partner IDOM, we installed a state-of-the-art meteo-oceanographic station in Playa Serena, Roquetas del Mar, in an exciting project supported by Red.es and the Roquetas City Council.

This buoy, with a diameter of 1.2 meters, belonging to the Tern model by #Osil, represents a remarkable advancement in oceanography. Equipped with a weather station, a wave sensor, a multiparametric WiMo probe from #NKE, and an ADCP, this station provides a comprehensive view of our coastal waters.

From precise measurements of temperature, salinity, and water quality to detailed reports on weather conditions and wave height, this meteo-oceanographic station is ready to revolutionize the way we understand and protect our beaches and oceans.

This achievement is a significant milestone for oceanographic research and is a testament to the dedication and passion of Casco Antiguo in exploring the mysteries of our oceans.

But this is not just a story for scientists. Now, with this station, everyone can access up-to-date and accurate information about our coasts. We will be able to make more informed decisions about beach safety, nautical activities, and much more.

We are honored to be at the forefront of this initiative, advancing science, technology, and the protection of our valuable coastal environments. It's a significant step forward!
